31 Weeks - What a blessing!

Just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have supported us through this roller coaster month of June. I am feeling so much better as each day passes and thankfully my contractions have slowed to only about 4 or 5 per day. That's nothing compared to what I was experiencing a week ago. I only wish I could go outside and enjoy the summer - I've been inside for 17 days and I have 32 to go. The doc said they will not lift the restrictions, but I have a small amount of hope that they will.

Thankfully, the baby is still hanging on. The baby and I have been through so much this past month with two hospitalizations, a handful of medicines and many scary moments.

My Mom has been a blessing! She has done so much and I can't thank her enough. I've never seen a harder working person in my life. Thanks Mom! I guess this is what Mom's do - they sacrifice for their children. I am now just learning this. :)

Shower Memorial Day Weekend!

Thought I'd add some photos from my shower, the day before I went into labor. It was a beautiful afternoon in St. Louis and we had such a wonderful time. I am so blessed to have such amazing girl friends and that we've remained so close after all these years. Ashley was so sweet and helped me open all my gifts. I am so happy we planned this when we did. Enjoy!

26 Weeks Pregnant!

Happy 30th Tom!

We had a great birthday weekend for Tom. Kelly, Ryan, Ashley and Aidan all came to help Tom celebrate his 30th birthday. We had a blast with family and friends. Looks like Ashley thought it was her party! Happy Birthday honey, I love you to pieces.

Baby Nichols New Pics

Katie and I had our 20 week dr appointment today for Baby Nichol. Everything went amazing, and everyone is very healthy and one track growth wise. The baby (the sex is a surprise) is 13oz which is right one track with where the babys growth should be. I'm going to attach some of the first publicized pictures of Baby Nichol in the womb. There is a 3-D pic of the face, then a pic of the feet, and two shots of the body. It's amazing that your able to see the baby in this amount of detail this early in the pregnancy. The pictures aren't great, since they are ultrasound pictures, that were printed out, and I then took a picture of those with my camera. So keep that in mind. I'll be adding a picture of the pregnant wife as soon as I can get one. Take care.

New home in Chicago

Katie and I have decided to move into another two bedroom two bath condo that gives us more space for the new member of the family. It has three walk in closets (which is great), storage in the basement, and a garage parking spot. It's great to finally have extra room and not feel cramped. We moved last weekend so were still getting used to the new place. It also has two porches and a perfect room for a baby. Here is a picture of the living room, kitchen and bedroom. I'd put up more pictures but I can't figure out the picture album feature quite yet. Enjoy!!!

Warm trip to AZ

Katie and I took a quick trip home to Vermont to see my parents, and then spent a week in Scottsdale Arizona. It was beautiful weather and a much needed break from the snowy skies of Chicago. I'm going to try to attach some pictures of our trip. We would wake up early and grab a bite at the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch (where we stayed) then go out for a hike in the mountains around Scottsdale. It was beautiful every day!
